On Sunday evening we camped overnight at Lake Rowallan, underneath the bluff and beside the lake, nobody else in sight. The lake changed dramatically and showed once again the creativity of our God. This is how it was when we arrived at 5.00 pm.

Later on, after tea, we watched the last lights fade from the sky and this is what we saw. The light streamed across the lake in paths that reflected the setting light.

A quiet night, not even disturbed by wildlife, was enjoyed before the increasing lightness of the sky awoke us, not the birds! The reason was the deep mist that lay all around.

We watched many a changing scene as the mist swirled sending eerie reflections across the water but gradually the mist rose, burned off by the sun that finally crept over the bluff at around 9.00 a.m., leaving stunning blue, crystal clear reflections in an amazing kaleidoscope of colour.

It was only a 22 hour break altogether, but what a peaceful and tranquil place to allow ourselves to be refreshed, ready for the week ahead. Thank you, Lord.
